GVARA Technical Sub Committee for ISO Standards – Current work programme in 2026 and Q1 2027
GVARA’s current work programme is detailed below:
ISO / TC58 SC2: Technical Sub Committee Gas Cylinder fittings
GVARA will continue to lead and follow up actions from the ad hoc working group for amendments to Part 6.2 and P200 in the UN Orange book Vol II -Transport of Dangerous Goods – Model Regulations and RID/ADR. This ad hoc group Chaired by Tony Peers from GVARA has prepared a resolution with representation and support from ECMA EIGA and LGE for the UN model regulation meeting in November 2026 (submitted by ECMA) and we wait to hear if the resolution is accepted during December.
Ongoing input into all the revised Valve standards will be provided by the GVARA Technical team during the remainer of 2026 and in Q1 2027.
ISO / TC 44 SC8: Technical Sub Committee – Equipment for Gas Welding and Cutting
GVARA will continue to provide input in 2026 / 2027 to Working Group 8 on Tapping points and Working Group 9 on hoses ISO 3821 and blowpipes ISO 5172.
ISO / TC121 SC6: Technical Sub Committee – Medical Gas Supply Systems
The GVARA team will provide input into the revision of 15001:2011- Material Compatibility with Oxygen for Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment in late 2026 and during early 2027.
