GVARA’s current work programme is detailed below:
ISO / TC58 SC2:
GVARA is leading an ad hoc working group for amendments to Part 6.2 and P200 in the UN Orange book Vol II -Transport of Dangerous Goods – Model Regulations and RID/ADR. This ad hoc group will be Chaired by Tony Peers and the initial meeting is scheduled on the 23rd April 2026.
Review and recommendations for proposed Residual Pressure valve outlets -amendments to ISO 10298 & 10156.
ISO / TC 44 SC8:
Review and recommendations for the proposed Rubber Hose standard ISO / AWI 3821 updates for Hydrogen & Helium hose permeability.
ISO / TC121 SC6:
Review and recommendations for proposed amendments for Medical VIPR and Regulators standard ISO/ DIS 10524-3.
The standard revisions are planned to be published in 2026.
GVARA has sent its Liaison report dated January 2026 for the next planned ISO / TC121 meeting planned in Korea in May 2026.
ISO 15001:2011- Material Compatibility with Oxygen for Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment is also being revised, which the GVARA Technical Sub Committee will provide an input to in 2026.
